Lemonade Mouth Puckers Up Mark Peter Hughes Books Reviews

I'm probably not a very qualified reviewer, as I'm a high school student whose grades in English are, to say the least, poor. But, I really liked this book!!! (I'm giving this book 4.5 because of minor shortcomings, which I'll explain below).

Perhaps the book's plot isn't super realistic, as people don't often get signed up with world-class recording companies and things don't often falling perfectly in place for real people. And, perhaps the characters approach moral dilemmas with ideals than practicality. However, it is because of these possible "shortcomings" that the book is able to convey such very powerful messages. This book tackles a lot of themes, actually. It's about the importance of standing up against what you're told and what you know is wrong, discovering your own path, the power of friendship and community, and letting go of the past and letting yourself open up to change. The alternating viewpoints between characters work well with the story, as it's all about very different people coming together due to their shared passion music. (I had minor issues with having to flip back to see who is speaking, but that's pretty much it.)

Overall, the characters are well-developed, fun, and their experiences make for a more mature book than I expected (I'd probably recommend this for a 9th grader.)

I have read both Lemonade Mouth books so far and love them dearly! Please, please, please make another book to this series.Every time I read this book or you're 1st Lemonade Mouth book I always feel like I'm in it. 2 thumbs up! I love the books.Please make more!!!
I read the first book and loved it. I was so excited to hear there was a second one! I quickly got the book on my kindle and read it almost without stopping. when I finished, I was so sad and surprised that it ended so quickly. I would LOVE if there was another one! I would recommend this book to anyone!
Excellent follow-up to the first book. My boys loved the first (and yes I even liked the movie) Glad to see the author keep the same smart dialogue and funny teenage references that makes it a good read for the kids. Will there be another movie too?
it was a good follow up to the first book & i even signed the petition to disney to make the second movie but they never did (side note i reeeeally wanted another lemonade mouth cd, i love their music, but that is another product)
