Sage has been working for Templeton Designs for 2 years now. The Christmas season has arrived and she is set to fly home to spend it with her mom as she does every year. It is this year that change is weighing heavy on her mind. How can she continue to work for Terrence, a man she has been in love with for a long time, for another year knowing he doesn't return her feelings. The season brings a change in not only her outlook but with those around her this is soon to be a Christmas she won't forget. It is a cute read about two souls who have lost loved ones and blocked out the seasons joy. I found this at Christmas time on the freebie list and it is one to put you in the spirit.

My one complaint is the ending wraps up in a rush and it leaves the reader wanting more but in order to gain this you must buy the bonus epilogue. If you are okay with that then I believe you will enjoy. I think it is a shame to charge .99 for 30 pages. It's just my opinion and some may consider me cheap but that's a chapter. Can you imagine if authors start charging $1 for each chapter? I won't take it further as one can easily stop with how this book ends and use your imagination. Enjoy!

This was such a sweet story!!

Sage and Terrance have spent way too long fighting their feelings. So when Terrance had a chance to finally have what's alwasy meant to be his..he takes it!

I love a good Christmas romance because it shows you that the holiday spirit can get to anyone)

I almost wish there was a full book about these two because I would love more!!!

Sage and Terrence work together as business associates, and had never let the other know their interest in getting to know each other better. Now, as Christmas approaches and everyone leaves town for the holidays, Terrence decides to make a move. Can he make an impression on her before its too late, and maintain their professionalism in the office? Or will Sage move on to that new job she had applied for?
Since the holidays are just around the corner, I thought I would continue on with my short story and holiday romance theme for those of you who love this time of year as much as I do. If you are looking for a quick read on a cold winter's night, then Her Christmas Bonus by Rain Danvers might be just the trick.

There were really two things that initially drew me to the story. Firstly, the company where the main characters, Sage and Terrance, work at is located in Newport Beach, California. One of the offices for my company is also located in the same town, so it must be fate that I read this. Secondly, both Sage and Terrance end up in Phoenix, Arizona for Christmas. I spent six years living in the mountains of Arizona and enjoyed many weekends during the winter in that city. Now I had to read this!

Sage is an accomplished business woman but realizes that the one man she wants, Terrance, is not available for her because they work at the same company. However, fate in the form of technology brings them together. Throw in her mom and some well meaning friends and you have all the makings of a happily ever after.

I am a little disappointed in some of the other reviews that I read complaining that Her Christmas Bonus was too short, and the story advanced too rapidly. Frankly, I get what they all meant, but this is a short story. How long did they expect it to be? Ms. Danvers is sharing a small portion of their story, not their entire relationship from the moment them met until they have children and beyond. I think the negative reviewers missed the boat and the epilogue! Perhaps it's not a five star read but it doesn't deserve a one star either, or in my case a "Palm Tree"!
I really enjoyed this love story. I was looking for a quick read while waiting for the sun to come up. Sage works for Templeton Designs and her boss is Terrence. She noticed her boss from the time she started working at the office. She never did anything on it because he was her boss.
Sage doesn't like Christmas, but she flies home to spend the holidays with her mother and friends. She left her keys at the office. She left a note on Terrences desk about going home for the holiday. She called her phone and he answered. They set up a time to return her phone. Terrence came to her house and it was a very good surprise for her to find out it was him. Surprise! Terence the one she likes romantically is at her house. Does she just shake his hand politely and send him on his way? Do they become a couple? I believe their romance is such a whirlwind, because they have known each other so long. I found this book on a website for free and an honest review.
