I first read it years ago when it came out. Rereading at 75 yrs. did not evoke the guffaws it did when I was much younger. Life does change attitudes and perceptions. It was just o.k. this go round. Want to re-read Gene Shepherd. Hope I can still find him hilarious. Thank you

I waited a long time to find this cassett. I have heard it a couple of times and couldn't wait to get one. I have listened to it several times and laugh just as much each and every time.

Got for book club...not a favorite...
Don Imus may be considered questionable in some of his radio show comments, but as an author with a hilarious flair for the unique, writes the outrageous satirical evolution of a young lad brought up in a questionably religious household to become a full-blown household name televangelist who truly believes in his heart and soul that he is indeed God's Other Son. This has got to be one of the funniest stories I've had the pleasure to read. I can't remember laughing so hard out loud reading a book. I still have a side ache!
